Motorcycles Let You Enjoy The Wind For Less

If you want to live the dream of the wind blowing through your hair as you race along scenic roads, you will need either a convertible or a motorcycle. Convertibles are less appealing than they once were, with the price of gas being extraordinarily high, and convertibles are not built for gas economy.

Motorcycles are a much better buy than cars. They are a much easier and more economical way to feel that thrilling rush of air when you ride. The beginning cost of a motorcycle is often lower then a car even when they are luxurious or customized. The operations are also less then driving most cars, truck, or even a muscle car.

Motor scooters are an option for the more conservative rider. They shield the body a bit more than just a plain bike and are operated in the same manner, including licensing, that regular bikes are. Once you have practiced and are ready, you can take the road test to get your motor bike license or endorsement.

Protective gear is a smart idea everywhere, though it's not required by law everywhere. Advances in design and material have made motorcycles helmets far safer than they used to be; sturdy shoes or boots, long pants and leather gloves or gauntlets will help protect your limbs and extremities from damage. Fit is critical to safety;

If you love motorcycles, the first things you will want to do are get a license and learn to ride. To get a learner's permit, you will need to take a special test on motorbike safety and learn motorbike rules from your state's handbook. When riding with a learner's permit, you will need a licensed operator to be within sight. With the rise in women motorcyclists, and more wealthy, up-and-coming and prosperous people choosing the feel of the wind on their skin over the more conventional car, the motorcycle should no longer be seen as a stereotyped blue collar worker or bearded biker.
